imei’s international partner GEMA – based in Switzerland and providing Enterprise Mobility services in over 100 countries – is seen as a ‘Visionary’ in the latest Gartner Magic Quadrant for Managed Mobility Services (MMS).
Gartner Magic Quadrant report benchmarks MMS provider capabilities
In the report released April 2020, GEMA is named as Visionary alongside Vodafone, Orange and Telefónica, a designation that acknowledges the breadth, reach, and scope of GEMA services and customers across the world, as well as the progress and innovation of the organisation.
Gartner categorises five core MMS deliverables including:
- Sourcing and logistics management
- Managed UEM
- Security Management
- Financial Management; and
- Program management (including professional services).
CEO of GEMA International, Heiko Friedrich said “GEMA’s double focus to be at once the thought leader for innovations in mobile workforce management as well as being the leader for service quality and real end-user enablement has helped us to be recognized as part of the ‘Visionary’ Quadrant by Gartner”
What is Gartner Magic Quadrant?
Gartner Magic Quadrant is used as a first step to understanding the technology providers you might consider for a specific investment opportunity - widely regarded as the go-to guide for CIOs planning to outsource mobility management. Using methodological research, qualitative data analyses and actionable advice, depicts a market of leading MMS technology providers using a two-dimensional matrix that evaluates vendors based on their Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute.
The Gartner Magic Quadrant provides graphical competitive positioning, dividing companies into four quadrants: Leaders, Challengers, Visionaries and Niche Players:
- Leaders execute well against their current vision and are well positioned for tomorrow.
- Visionaries understand where the market is going or have a vision for changing market rules.
- Niche Players focus successfully on a small segment.
- Challengers execute well today or may dominate a large segment.
The report provides an in-depth review of the market, vendor strengths and cautions, inclusion and exclusion criteria, evaluation criteria and a market overview.
