imei-sponsored yacht Miss Scarlet – an IRC design 52 foot racing yacht – is busy in the Bay of Islands on the north island of New Zealand at the CRC Race Week. As at day 2 after six races Miss Scarlett is in joint first place in the series.The weather has been superb, the wind although light, has proven somewhat technical for the crew on days 1 and 2. Friday – day 3 – presents some stronger winds and should be a good showdown to produce a series winner.
imei CEO Tim Fussell is on board as part of the yacht’s high performance crew and after a tough but enjoyable days racing said: “the racing has been intense, this part of the world is just stunning, and we’re looking forward to bring home the victory for Miss Scarlet, the team and for imei!”
